This privacy policy statement applies to Lebanon Connect Apps with all online offers, content, features and services within the various Lebanon Connect apps in the available operating systems (iOS, Android, Windows). With the use of Lebanon Connect products, especially the Lebanon Connect app, you agree to the application of these provisions. Please read them carefully.

  3. Collection and use of data

Lebanon Connect collects personal data only insofar as you voluntarily provide it and to the extent that such collection is permitted by law or agreed to by written consent. Personal data encompasses any information concerning the personal or factual information about a specified or specifiable natural person in accordance with § 3 (1) of the BDSG. This includes information such as name, physical address, e-mail address, telephone number, and, if applicable, user data.

  4. Disclosure of data
    1. User-entered data
You can use the Lebanon Connect products both with and without registration. When registering, you must specify your e-mail address and choose a password. This data is necessary to ensure that you can take advantage of the full range of services offered. Last but not least, we need this, and possibly other data, to respond to your requests, questions and critique. You also have the option of uploading a profile picture and choosing a username. This occurs solely on a voluntary basis. We use personal information to provide a safe, effective and user-relevant experience on our Lebanon Connect app, including for
      • internet-based retrieval of content,
      • anonymous statistical analysis for studies in order to modify the Apps and design them user-friendly,
      • the ability to use the invite feature to recommend the product to your friends and acquaintances (email address),
      • the ability to use social & community features, e.g. to share content and / or news-articles with other users on social networks or e-mail, mark articles with the “like-button”, and others.
    2. Social sign in
We offer the opportunity to register directly on our products with your existing profile from selected social networks. Lebanon Connect uses “Facebook Sign In,” “Google+ Sign In,” “Twitter Sign Up,” and “Microsoft Account Sign In” (for Windows phones). If you choose to use one of these signup options, you will be forwarded to the respective site, where you will be led through the signup process. Using the data transmitted from the respective social network provider, we then create your user account, of course without saving your friend lists and contacts. There is no permanent link between your user account and the Facebook, Google or Twitter account. Please see the privacy policies of Facebook, Google or Twitter for more information concerning the purpose and scope of their data collection, their further processing and use of data, as well as your rights in this respect and setting options for protecting your privacy.
  5. Push notifications
The app only uses push notifications with your consent. You can always choose the way these notifications will be displayed on your device or even disable push notifications by adjusting your device settings. In addition, if you have registered with your e-mail address you will be informed via mail in a summary about your activities within the app as well as the activities related to your favorite club.
  6. Social plug-ins
The Lebanon Connect apps use social plug-ins (hereafter “plug-ins”) from various social networks. With the help of these plug-ins, you can, for example, recommend content to a friend or use the sharing functions. In our app, we use the following plug-ins (not operated by Lebanon Connect): Facebook, Twitter, and your email program on the operating system iOS. On the operating systems Android and Windows Phone, additional plug-ins may be used and include all installed apps with a sharing function (e.g. LinkedIn, Google+, Pinterest, Youtube, Instagram, etc.). If you want to use one or more of these services, you must register there. Please check the privacy policies of these third-party plug-in services such as Facebook Facebook, Google+, Twitter etc. for information on the purpose and scope of data collection, further processing and use of your data, as well as your rights in this respect and changing settings options in order to protect your privacy.
